Mobile Cataract Suite

The design, supply, and installation of a modular ramp to the new mobile cataract suite located on the grounds of the Hospital.

The suite is playing a crucial role in helping the trust efficiently address the COVID-19 backlogs that inevitably accumulated during the pandemic, while also effectively reducing waiting times for Eye Care (Ophthalmology).

The mobile suite was a custom-built modular trailer constructed off-site and transported into position.

Both the trailer and the Rapid Ramp System feature a flexible modular design, and if required, both can be relocated to suit any site changes. In contrast, a concrete or wooden ramp, being a single-use system, lack the same degree of adaptability.

 Our internal teams successfully designed, supplied, and installed a Rapid Ramp that adhered fully to Building Regulations (Part M and K).

The installation was finished within a four-day timeframe and incorporated three entry points and turning platforms.

FEATURES INCLUDED:

• Trombone Ends - Installed at the ends of a Rapid Ramp to prevent clothes from snagging.
• Mesh Platform - Self-draining mesh allows water to pass through, preventing surface accumulation.
• Standard Colour - Black - Our ramps boast a powder-coated black finish, ensuring durability beyond typical paint.
• Infill Handrail - This product safeguards against users climbing or falling through gaps.
• Yellow Tread - A safety feature designed to help those with impaired vision identify the system's nose and any level changes.

EXTRA FEATURE INCLUDED:

• Solid Hoarding - Purposefully designed mesh deters unauthorised access to the ramp's underside, making it a popular choice for schools and other public buildings.
