New temporary welfare units including disabled toilets were in construction in Kent, as part of a government-funded project.   

Modular ramps to provide long-term access for visitors and staff of all abilities.  

Systems required to be installed within the tight schedule of a week. Plus, be easy to disassemble once the site is decommissioned.

Rapid Ramp successfully delivered the project within the week deadline and matched the units’ hire period.

The ramps were designed with standard walkways to accommodate the limited space available between the buildings.

Plus, the telescopic legs could be adjusted to sit over the site’s water tank, preventing it from having to be moved.

Once the site is decommissioned, the ramps will be removed, ready to be reused on other projects.

FEATURES INCLUDED:

• Mesh Platform - this self-draining mesh platform allows water to pass through rather than puddle on the surface and potentially freeze.
• Trombone Ends - these are added to the ends of a Rapid Ramp to prevent clothes catching.
• Telescopic Legs - these can be adjusted to accommodate threshold heights.
• Standard Handrail - this handrail system ensures users always have a support to hold onto.
• Standard Colour Black - ramps are powder-coated black to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint.
