One of the main venues was the Alexander Stadium, which staged the opening and closing ceremonies.

Temporary prefabricated ramps to the various marquees, including the spectator first aid tent, the site security tent, the spectator family rest area, the toilet block, and shower Unit.

It was essential that all systems had a wide walkway with the capability of supporting a diverse range of daily traffic, including footfall, prams, wheelchair users, mobility scooters, powerchairs and trolleys.

Our in-house designer produced 2D & 3D CAD drawings, with reference to the finished floor height measurements supplied by the client. 

Once the marquees had been assembled, our fitters installed the ramps.

They include platforms with a safe loading capacity of 1,000kgs to safely support different types of traffic, e.g., pedestrians, mobility scooters, bicycles, and heavy-wheeled event equipment.

Several ramps were installed over grass with a composite decking board under the feet. The boards can be reused endless times and be recycled.

Another ramp was installed in the stadium carpark over a section of block paving and tarmac. Plus, the feet were fixed down for extra rigidity.

Our systems can be installed on a variety of soft and hard surfaces, including concrete, tarmac, artificial grass, and muddy terrain.

Once the event concluded, the ramps were dismantled and reused in other rental applications.

The whole project was achieved within a quick turnaround time and achieved on schedule.

• Standard Handrail - this handrail system ensures users always have support to hold onto.
• Trombone Ends - these are added to the ends of a Rapid Ramp to prevent clothes catching.
• Mesh Platform - the self-draining mesh allows water to pass through rather than collect on the surface.
• Black Powder Coated Finish – rails are coated with thermosetting powder to provide a non-conductive, non-slip and scratch resistant surface.
• Telescopic Legs - these can be adjusted to accommodate different threshold heights.

EXTRA FEATURE INCLUDED:

• Yellow Tread - this is a safety feature designed to help those with impaired vision identify the nose of the ramp.
